		After many years of successful trading in Harrogate, a new and prestigious site in the city of York opened in the summer of 1999. The Red House is an 18th century former town house, situated in the heart of the city centre. It is a grade 2* listed building which was constructed in 1700 for Sir William Robinson, Lord Mayor of York, and is reputed to be designed by William Etty.
The Red House has an impressive trading position, 200 yards from the Minster and close to the main shopping areas.
		It is on a major junction and adjacent to the Theatre Royal and the York Tourist Information Office. The Antiques Centre occupies the ground and first floors of The Red House, offering 10 showrooms on 2 floors, with space for up to 60 dealers.
